The views from Arallt Holiday Cottage were beautiful, with something lovely to see from every window. It was a calm, picture-perfect place to unwind. Sharon welcomed us warmly and made our stay feel special. We had a wonderful time, highly recommend it, and would be happy to come back. Thank you, Sharon 😊

We were just two, and the cottage felt like the right size, though it can sleep six. The little garden was pretty, with wooden chairs and a table kept in the shed, and there’s a sunny sheltered bench where you can take in those far-reaching views along Wales’ west coast. The front windows face south, and the scenery is fabulous. The lane can get busier than you’d expect in such a peaceful, remote spot, especially in the morning and around 5pm, because Nant Gwrtheyrn is at its end. It has a popular Welsh Language school, weddings, heritage courses, a hireable venue, a decent cafe and a wonderful beach. Away from those busier times, it’s mostly birdsong, big views and the odd sheep on the verges. Sharon and Vince were friendly, quick to respond and very helpful. Their instructions covered everything clearly, and the cottage was clean and thoughtfully set up. Sharon’s homemade pizzas, ready to bake, were fantastic and especially welcome when we arrived late. Inside, the sunny kitchen was nice to use, and the living room was spacious, cosy and full of character. The heating kept the house warm, so the log burner wasn’t really needed, though its glowing embers added to the evening’s sofa comfort. The village pub and shop are both about a ten minute walk away, and open later and more days than the ones near us in Kent. We’d gladly stay at Arallt Cottage again on a future trip to the Llŷn peninsula. Thanks, Sharon and Vince, for a comfortable stay.

The walk down to Nant Gwrtheyrn helped clear my head on Sunday, and we got a lift back up. We were staying for a family wedding less than a mile away. The beach there was beautiful, and some of the wedding guests went for a swim, though it was too cold for me. The cottage was clean, comfortable and held to a very high standard, with all the comforts of home. It was excellent value for money, and the hosts were caring and on hand if anything came up. We’d happily recommend it. Thanks to Sharon and Vince for sharing their lovely cottage and making the stay so memorable.

Sharon checked in with us throughout our stay to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. We came with a toddler, and the house was well equipped for a young child, with lots of homely touches. The views from the living room, kitchen and bedroom were idyllic and so peaceful. The cottage is in a small village with a shop down the road for essentials, and it worked well as a base for exploring the peninsula, with easy trips to Caernarfon and the more distant beaches. We’d love to return, even just for a quiet weekend away from the city.

The electronic guide was useful, and the Wi-Fi worked well. The weather wasn’t warm for July, but the heating kept us comfortable during our pleasant four-night stay at Arallt. Everything was exceptionally clean and matched the website description. Sharon kept us informed from the time we booked. The Llŷn Peninsula is lovely, with plenty of walks, and the cottage is an easy drive from Snowdonia and Caernarfon too. Thanks for a lovely stay.
