Dawn was so kind, and the owners were really helpful with all my questions about the area. I was travelling alone for a week and felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay. The room was clean and cosy, and breakfast was delicious every morning. I loved staying at Avarest. Without a car, Portrush was a great base for getting to Derry, Dunluce, Giant’s Causeway and the rope bridge. It’s also got some pretty good restaurants and a nice beach for a stroll.

The coastline views from our room were stunning, and Dawn even surprised us with them when we checked in. We found the room comfortable and well equipped, and slept peacefully despite being just a couple of minutes from the beach and close to plenty of pubs and restaurants. Avarest has charming, characterful interiors that clearly have had a lot of care put into them. Dawn was warm and welcoming, and breakfast was included. For the quality of the stay, it was very good value. I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Portrush.

A lovely, homely little B&B right in the centre of the port. Slept comfortably, and breakfast was beautiful. I’ll definitely be back!

The lift was a real bonus, and my mother, who’s 77, and I both felt comfortable in our room and slept well. It felt like a home away from home, with a beautiful building just a short walk from the shops, harbour and beach. Our hostess was amazing, friendly and helpful, and breakfast was tasty. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.
