The dining room’s map wallpaper was such a fun detail, and the location made it easy to explore, with town just a short walk away and plenty of parking at the property. Our room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for the night. Breakfast had a great range of choices for different dietary needs. We had a wonderful stay at Anvershiel House, thanks for having us!

The room was comfortable enough, and the walk into town was fine. The stay felt a little expensive beside other full-service B&Bs we’ve used, though. Everything was self-service, from check-in to the cold continental breakfast, making French press coffee, clearing our dishes and checking out. I wasn’t keen on the meat and cheese being left in their store packaging in the fridge, so people handled the food directly. Tongs on a serving tray would have felt more hygienic. Adequate overall.

The rooms were cute and cosy, and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast each morning. My mom and I had such a lovely stay at Anvershiel House. Sylvia, the owner’s niece, deserves a special mention: she was attentive, sweet, and so much fun to talk to. She made us feel at home. There’s also a scenic path along the water not far away, and I’d definitely suggest checking it out. We’d stay here again if we get the chance to return to Ireland. Thanks to Anvershiel House and Sylvia for everything. Hope we meet again!
