Antrim House Guest Rooms & Suites

Janice made everything easy, with a detailed description a few days beforehand and a warm welcome when we arrived. Online check-in was quick and straightforward. The suite had been newly remodeled throughout and looked stunning, and we had a great weekend. The location was great too, with a view of the harbor and church from the living room window. We came to visit my husband’s family, and the place exceeded my expectations. I’d give it five-plus stars and would definitely come back!

Janice was a lovely host and made our stay even better. We booked for my wife’s birthday and had a brilliant time. The room was great and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom and a brilliant hot tub. The location is central to everything in town too.

I live nearby but stayed here recently. Janice greeted me and was really friendly, a pleasure to chat with. I stayed in the original house, where the bedroom and bathroom were both a great size, clean and nicely decorated. The location is fantastic, right in the centre of town.

The room itself was perfect, modern and very clean, but my experience with the staff and owner of Antrim house really let the stay down. I came with a family member to celebrate my 21st birthday. My younger sister and her friend had booked their own B&B across from the train station, then came down to our room to join us for a couple of hours. Less than five minutes later, Janice called to ask if I’d updated my booking for more people. I explained they weren’t staying with us and had their own B&B. She asked if they were in the hot tub with us. When I said yes, she rudely told me it wasn’t a public bath tub and that they had to get their things and leave immediately. The call was very unpleasant, Janice was extremely rude, and I didn’t understand where the attitude came from. I’d understand if Antrim house had a no-visitors rule, but I’d never been sent any rules saying that, and Janice didn’t say it was the policy during the call either. I also don’t understand how she knew there were visitors in my room. I can only conclude that there may be CCTV in the rooms, which would be extremely inappropriate, especially with a hot tub in the room. I wouldn’t want anyone spying on us in bikinis. After my sister and her friend left, we felt paranoid there might be cameras in the room, and it put a real downer on my 21st.
