Beulah Guest House

Once we got settled, we liked the location and thought the breakfast was pretty good. The parking was the difficult part. I was there over the early May Holiday, so take my view with that in mind, but the lot was full when I arrived and finding street parking was an absolute nightmare. The property manager said we could use her spot after she left for the day. Since parking is one of the selling points, I think it would have been more appropriate for her to move her car once the lot was full. That put quite a burden on the guest.

The room was small, though that was fine since we only slept there, and the bed was comfortable. We were in Portrush for my son's wedding and stayed two nights. Teresa and the staff were wonderful, and breakfast was huge, you definitely won't leave hungry. I liked how close it was to the water, restaurants and bars, with the bus stop and train station within walking distance.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were pleasant and accommodating. Parking at the back is tight, but it's a welcome extra. The problem was the bar opposite: when it shut at 1am, people came outside and carried on drinking and shouting for over an hour. That's not the hotel's fault, but because of it I can't recommend the place.

The town is a busy seaside resort, with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. Beulah Guest House was centrally located, with free parking at the rear, friendly and helpful staff, and a really good breakfast. We enjoyed our two-day stay and found everything clean and tidy. Next time I'd check the room photos more carefully and avoid the third floor. It was a long way to carry suitcases, and the room was close to the attic and plumbing. Our room was OK, but the bathroom was tiny and I'd have liked more comfort on holiday. The tea and coffee tray was clean and tidy, though a little small. I'd recommend it with those two things in mind.
