Willow Lodge Hambleton

We came for a friend’s wedding at the nearby riverside barn and had a lovely weekend at Willow Lodge. After a seven hour drive, that superking bed was incredibly comfortable, and Darrell greeted us warmly and showed us around. The rooms are spacious and had everything we needed: ironing facilities, a mini fridge, hair dryer, tea making facilities, smart TV, plus seating indoors and outside. The ensuite was roomy too, and the overhead shower was bliss. Although the rooms are next to each other, we never heard anyone else and felt like we were on a private retreat. It’s a little out of town, but there’s plenty of parking in the gated private area. We used Poulton cabs, as recommended, to get to and from the venue for little expense. Thanks for a lovely stay. We’ll check availability at Willow Lodge next time we’re in the area.

We booked this quiet little hotel for a wedding nearby, and it was a lovely find. The four separate luxury rooms have a little outdoor area, a walkway between them and parking. It sits in beautiful countryside, away from busy roads. One of the owners greeted us when we arrived. He was a friendly fellow and we had a nice chat, and we met his other half in the morning, who was just as lovely. Couldn’t have asked for better hosts. The rooms were beautiful. It isn’t the cheapest place, but it was well worth the extra cost and deserves a rating above three stars. We’ll definitely stay again. And cheers for recommending the Black Powder Distillery!

We stayed at Willow Lodge for a family wedding at the River Barn, just a mile away. The accommodation was absolutely beautiful, and the bed was about as comfortable as you could imagine. Breakfast was superb, with a huge variety. Darrell and Debra gave us such a warm welcome and shared lots of recommendations for places to eat, taxis and more. Lovely hosts, and I’d highly recommend this five star stay.

Breakfast was perfect, with loads of options, and there’s a cute little spot to sit outside too. Darrell met and greeted us on our first night, and everything was spic and span. The bed was super comfy and the interior design was really cool. This place is amazing, and I’d recommend it to anyone in the northwest area ☺️👍
