Windsor Castle Townhouse

The rooms were clean, comfortable and nice, and the morning breakfast service was quite nice too. Staff were friendly. The hotel is on the high street, close to the castle, shops and restaurants. My only real complaint was how dry the air in the room felt at night. Nothing awful, but a little more humidity would have been nice.

The staff were consistently attentive, welcoming and professional, and the spacious room was thoughtfully arranged for a relaxing stay. The king-size bed was exceptionally comfortable, with soft, high-quality pillows, and everything was impeccably appointed. We found the rates very reasonable, especially given how much the hotel exceeded our expectations. It’s outstanding value, and we’ll choose it whenever we return to Windsor.

We came for Christmas and felt at home almost straight away. The staff were absolutely lovely and took such good care of us. There were lots of little festive surprises in the room, including one for our daughter, who didn’t want to leave. We even had a small Christmas tree. I’d highly recommend it to everyone.

This quaint hotel had a five-star feel to its service and atmosphere. The layout made good use of the space, so it didn’t feel cramped. The complimentary breakfast buffet was excellent. They brought a pot of coffee or tea to the table when we sat down, and there was a high-caliber spread: juices and fruit-flavored water, cereal and milk, fresh fruit, plain and chocolate mini croissants, several fresh breads, jams, butter, cucumber and tomato slices, cold meats, sausage, bacon, sautéed mushrooms, roasted tomatoes and scrambled eggs. The staff said we could ask for another style of cooked egg, such as fried, poached or boiled, at no extra charge. The only downside was waiting for hot water, especially at the sink, but even in the shower. Once it came through, it was very hot.
