6/10
The bed and shower were decent, so the hotel stay was average. I’m giving it three stars because the included breakfast let me down. I’d expected more, but there was hardly anything available and the choice was really limited. The buffet needs work. Still, the stay itself wasn’t bad.

The shower was fantastic, one of the best I’ve had in a hotel, and the bed was comfortable. The room was pretty good for the price. But the road outside was noisy, and the central heating sounded like a drummer all night. I barely slept with all that noise, so I cancelled the extra night I’d booked for next week. I won’t be back.

The food and drinks selection is great, with vegetarian options, and it’s good value for money. Staff are super friendly, and the service and ambience are outstanding. It’s a great place to hang out in Reading, whether you’re meeting for business, staying over, or having a party with friends and family.

The room was clean, check-in went smoothly and the hotel is in a brilliant spot within walking distance of the town centre. There’s no parking, though. Saxon Car park is good value and only a five-minute walk away. Bring earplugs. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear neighbours’ activities and conversations clearly. The people next door had the TV blaring late into the night, and I found it hard to fall asleep.

Bhanu was especially helpful when I checked out, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Reading. My room was clean and comfortable, though it showed a bit of age. Breakfast could be better suited to different tastes.
