Riverside Rooms

Check-in was easy, and my two-day stay was quiet, with a river view. The place is small, nice, clean and quiet, and does the job for a short stay. It’s a 15-minute walk from the train station and about 10-12 minutes on foot to the city centre. There are rooms with shared bathrooms and others with private ones. The Wi-Fi wasn’t very good. I didn’t need parking or the kitchen during my stay, so I can’t say what to expect there.

I haven’t personally stayed here, but I’m writing because this situation has caused my friend a lot of distress and difficulty. They’re a student with no income, and I’ve had to help them financially because of it. They were charged twice for their room and have had no success getting the money back. The business won’t correspond with them and is also ignoring Booking.com, the service used to arrange the room. There’s been no response for 17 days. During their stay, I also received a phone call describing terrible service from the staff. I’d avoid staying here at all costs. Evidence for these claims can be provided.

I had a great stay in a lovely room at this wonderful place by the river. The owner is very kind.

The toilet was broken, they weren’t honest about the free Wi-Fi, and there was no service or support when I had problems.
