Father Christmas was lovely with my daughter. He knew her name and chatted about her hobbies and her brother, and we didn't feel rushed during the visit. I also loved seeing him wave from an upstairs window when we arrived, then from the front door as we left. We went to Trunkwell house on Sunday 14th December 2025 for the Lost in Oz Father Christmas afternoon tea, with my seven year old daughter. Glinda was wonderful from arrival to departure, engaging the children so well that even my shy daughter wanted to hug her. She kept it up for the full three hours, with bubbles, dancing, circus props and games. The Oz themed colouring pages on the tables were a nice touch too. The food was lovely, and the decorated crockery and teapots gave it a traditional afternoon tea feel. We were thoughtfully given extra cakes to take home. Service was slow at first: our tea arrived without milk, and it took several requests before it came. A few tables, including ours, were waiting while others had large milk jugs. After that was sorted, staff checked in more regularly and refilled drinks. They also offered extra sandwiches, which worked well for my fussy daughter since she could choose a favourite. It felt like good value, and I'd recommend the experience to friends and come back with my family. Thanks to everyone for making it such a lovely time.

Patsi really stood out at our work Christmas do at Trunkwell. She greeted us so warmly, kept checking on us throughout the evening, and made sure nothing we asked for was a problem. She's a great asset to the team, so please pass on our thanks. We loved the whole Wizard of Oz themed space. The decor, food and drinks were amazing, and the dodgems were a highlight. We can't wait to come back!

The dodgems were great fun, and the event had excellent entertainment. We went to a Christmas party and had a fantastic time, even though we'd never been here before. Food was good quality and served quickly across about 40 tables of 12. The waiters, bar staff, security and car park team all did an excellent job. There's a good-sized gravel car park, with staff directing traffic, and it's an easy drive from the M4 J11 at Reading. Highly recommended if you're looking for a shared party venue.

The Christmas fair 2025 had such a lovely atmosphere, and I enjoyed it last year too. There were lots of stalls, and everything from parking and entry to the food hall and drinks hall was well organised. Plenty to do for all ages, and the Santa visit was brilliant. Staff were friendly and easy to find when I had a question. I hadn't expected to stay so long, but it was a lovely experience. Looking forward to next year's fair. Well done to all the staff.

Patsi communicated with us really well before the event, and the staff were exceptional on the night. We'd heard great things about the Christmas Party nights at Trunkwell House, so we held our staff party there. The Return to Oz theme was fabulous from the moment we walked in until we left, and we came away with lots of happy memories. Thank you, team!
