The Dial House

I was sorry the restaurant wasn't open that evening, but the room itself was superb. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the shower was fantastic, and the Wi-Fi worked well. There was nothing I needed that was missing, right down to fresh milk in the minibar. You don't often find that kind of thoughtfulness and comfort, even in top hotels. I highly recommend it.

I sat outside in the sunshine and watched the quiet world go by, with the gentle comings and goings of a discreetly busy local hub. Inside, there was plenty of seating, clean cutlery, and helpful, pleasant staff. The lunch at bread source was good value, with tasty pastries, fresh and interesting sandwiches, and cold drinks, coffee, and tea. This franchise is in several historic buildings around the area and consistently serves quality food and drink. The restrooms were being worked on, but access was still perfectly adequate. The washing products were good quality, and the modernisation felt sympathetic.

We enjoyed having a pub right across the road. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere welcoming, and there were plenty of good things on the menu, a nice way to unwind in the evenings. The hotel is also a handy base for exploring, with nearby towns and several of Norfolk’s best beaches just a short drive away. Our room was quirky, clean, cosy, and thoughtfully equipped, with touches that made it comfortable and memorable. Breakfast was the one downside. We knew what to expect, so we're not complaining, but it could be better with something besides pastry, like overnight oats, a protein snack, or fruit salad. We'd happily stay again. Thank you.

Breakfast was the highlight for me. The bakery downstairs provided two items, a drink, and a piece of fruit, and the quality was sublime. We stayed in the Days of Raj room with our family. The futon was set up for our 2 year old, and there was a cot for our 6 month old. The bed for my wife and me was massive and very comfortable. The bathroom was amazing, with an enormous bath and shower. We'll be back!
