The room was exceptionally clean and tidy, and the comfortable furnishings and thoughtful amenities made it easy to unwind after a long day exploring Wales. I stayed one night at the guest house during our travels and had a delightful, peaceful experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet retreat in Wales.

Paul was polite and friendly and made me feel very welcome during my great stay at The Horseshoe Guest House. I’d just had a fantastic weekend watching the Rali Ceredigion in cwn Elan. The room was cosy, and breakfast was lovely. Shops, restaurants and pubs are all within a five-minute walk, which made the location very convenient. I’d definitely stay again.

Paul was so kind and thoughtful in helping us work out where to go and how to get there. Rhayader was wonderful, and everyone was so welcoming that we didn’t want to leave. At the Horseshoe, the bed was wonderful, the room was large and comfortable, and everything was spotless. Breakfast was delicious every time. I can’t say enough good things about our stay, and we’ll definitely come back.

It was so peaceful, with no noise from outside or other residents. The double room was lovely, the bed very comfortable and the en suite tidy. When we arrived, the owner greeted us, carried my case upstairs, explained breakfast and showed us to our room. There’s parking, including a separate covered area for motorbikes. 10/10, and I’d definitely stay again.

The hosts were friendly, attentive and happy to help, and I’d stay here again. Breakfast was good, with a cooked option of bacon, egg, sausage, mushrooms, beans and tomatoes, plus toast if you want it. There was also cereal, fruit and yoghurt to help yourself to. The king-size bed was lovely and comfortable, the room was a good size and the water pressure was OK. It felt a little chilly in the evening, though, and once the sun came up the orange curtains let in so much light that I woke up. Blackout curtains would help.
