Every pitch has lovely countryside views, and there's plenty to do nearby. I'd recommend the Nidderdale Museum on Pately Bridge. Mrs Raw greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome. The site's nicely placed in Nidderdale, with the usual facilities close to the pitches, plus a toilet and an information point. We'll be back.

We had three lovely, very peaceful nights here. It's a clean and quiet site with nice views, and the farmers are relaxed about walking the fields on site. Just be respectful around the stock. We saw a few hares, which was lovely, and dogs were easy to bring along. The sloping pitch wasn't a problem with ramps. Thanks for a lovely break.

We spent two weeks in Archway, our second visit after 2019, and it was a really relaxing stay. The cottage is well equipped and suits four people. Mrs. Raw is very welcoming. The setting is beautiful, rural and quiet, with sheep to hear and sometimes an owl at night. There's a lovely pub in Galphay about a mile away along a footpath, and a lovely butcher in Kirkby. Ripon is also close enough for bigger shopping trips. It's a good base for exploring both the Yorkshire Dales and places further east, like York. Hopefully we'll come again.

Catherine was so kind and helpful, and I plan to come back to use the campsite. My friend and I stayed in Byre Cottage in July. It was spacious and nicely laid out, with a lovely garden and great walks all around. The location also worked well for exploring North Yorkshire attractions and the Yorkshire Dales.

The owners were super helpful and friendly, and there are lively walks nearby as well as some nice pubs in the local village. We stayed two nights on their caravan site, 26th to 28th September, and I can highly recommend it for touring caravans or motorhomes. The site is all grass, so you may need to do a little levelling when setting up. We paid £20 per night, including EHU and free WiFi. Phone and TV signals were great. There's an information hut, a small toilet, water and waste disposal, but you'll need your own shower. We'll be back.
