The breakfast was sublime, and you can tell real care goes into the service. We stayed two nights while in the area for a friend's wedding. Although we arrived early and without warning, our very welcoming hosts were still able to check us in and give us a room. The B&B has plenty of character and history, with vintage-style rooms, tapestry curtains and rugs. Our room had a modern ensuite and a good, powerful shower. The TV in the room wouldn't work despite our efforts, but guests can use the downstairs lounge and watch TV there. The bed could use a little tightening: it creaks and the mattress dips a bit in the middle. It's away from many amenities, which suited us fine. I'd recommend staying here for its charm and soul.

Edward & Marian looked after us and our little dog so well during our weekend at Thatch Close. We've stayed in lots of places over the years, abroad and in the U.K, and I can honestly say this is one of the best. It was first class in every way, and we hope to return. Tony & Kath Barnes, and Gizmo.

We spent three nights at Thatch Close B&B while looking around the area for a house to buy. Its location worked well for visiting Ross, Monmouth, Symonds Yat, Raglan and nearby places, and we enjoyed our stay enough to tell Ed and Marion to get in touch if they ever thought of moving! They also showed us their three fully accessible holiday cottages, converted from neighbouring barns and furnished to a high standard. The bedroom, breakfast and helpful service were all 5*.

We were welcomed with tea and cakes at Edward and Marian's lovely B&B, in a beautiful setting. I slept really comfortably before we continued on to Pembrokeshire. Hope we can come back one day.

Edward and his wife were so obliging, going above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The cottages are lovely, and the place is very beautiful and peaceful. Everything has been thought of for different needs, especially in the " valley veiw " cottage, which has all the amenities for every particular need. The accommodation was very comfortable, and I'd highly recommend this group of small cottages.
