Lorna even cycled to the ferry terminal after we left to return a ring I'd forgotten in the bathroom. Such a kind thing to do. She also told us about the Isle and its attractions, and was so lovely throughout. We felt relaxed and welcome at Sunnyside from the minute we arrived. The room and en-suite were great, breakfast was spot on, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We'd recommend it without hesitation. Jason & Lynne, Castle Douglas

Breakfast set us up for a sunny day on Bute before the drive back to Yorkshire, and it was spot on. We stayed with our toddler for the weekend and really felt at home. The family room had a lovely view, comfy big beds and plenty of space for our excited little boy. Sorry again for the bedtime tears! Lorna was so kind with him and didn't mind the noise and excitement, which made a stressful trip with a toddler much easier. The external bathroom was spotless and had everything we needed. The house and location are gorgeous, and we'd love to come back for longer. 10/10, and a perfect end to our Scotland trip.

Lorna makes a lovely breakfast and the service was nice. The location is good, close to Rothesay Ferry Terminal. Highly recommend staying here.

The woman who ran this little place made me feel comfortable right away, and the hospitality was second to none. It's such an adorable spot, and I can't wait to return. Rothesay is lovely and welcoming too, and I think this place is a brilliant little part of it. The family's dog was especially calm and nice, Striven, I think his name was. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, with porridge or cereal, yoghurt and fruit, plus bacon and eggs and a choice of Haggis, Black Pudding, White Pudding or Square Sausage. Lorna was so welcoming from the moment we arrived and couldn't do enough for us. Our room and bed were very comfortable, with a hospitality tray. The bathroom was a bit wee, but manageable. A wonderful place to stay, and she absolutely made our holiday.
