The Kings Head Inn

I came in by myself for lunch and had a lovely plate of ham, eggs and chips, served quickly and with a friendly manner. I'm not sure if the ham was meant to be cold, but it tasted good anyway. The sticky toffee pudding was so enjoyable I nearly ordered another. For a usually busy Spoons with its negative associations, this is one of the best I've visited. I'll be back soon with friends or family.

We didn't stay at the hotel, just visited the pub. There's plenty of room, the food and drink were good, and the toilets were clean. It's a decent Wetherspoons, and only a short walk from the impressive Salisbury Cathedral.

We had a business meeting on a Monday morning, and the place was packed. The building is beautiful, and the staff were quick and attentive. Our wraps were generously filled, properly wrapped and piping hot. Keep up the good work.

For the price, you mostly get what you'd expect. The chips were undercooked, though the rest of the food was actually spot on. I'm teetotal, so I can't say much about the drinks beyond this being a Spoons. The server coughed while handing me my plate, mumbled an apology, and that was the whole interaction. That cough is why I'm giving two stars; without it, I'd say four. In the hour or so I was there, staff broke about ten glasses. Naturally people went “WHEEEEYYY,” as they should ;). The mayonnaise was nearly gone, maybe Salisbury has a thing for mayo, but the other bits were fine.
