The bar was advertised as closing at midnight, so I walked in at 10pm. A grumpy barmaid was absorbed in her phone and hadn't noticed me. Eventually she said they were closing in a few minutes, but I could have one, served my pint, then went straight back to her phone. Very unfriendly and unwelcoming. If you don't want to be there, find another job.

I ordered two beers and both tasted off. When I mentioned it, the barman said, “yes I thought it looked off.” He said he planned to tell the manager, but that didn't do us any good at the time.

The service was decent, but the drinks left me a bit concerned. I'd just had a Camden Hells at another pub, and this one tasted weaker and different from what I'd expect from a standardised product. I wondered if it might have been watered down, and the nitro stout was flat.

A friendly local tucked away on a back street, where everyone is made to feel welcome. There's a huge selection of real ales, beers, cider, wine and spirits at fantastic prices, and the staff are very attentive.

A nice pub to stop at on our Salisbury trip. The staff were friendly, drinks were well priced, and there was free pool during the week as well as sports.
