The rooms look like the pictures, and it’s good value. The people working there are lovely, welcoming and friendly. The food next door is amazing, and the place has good vibes. It’s right across from the beach, so the location’s great. I’d highly recommend it and would come back.

When we were leaving, there was a homeless man playing with himself in the lobby. Don’t bring children to this hotel, as it didn’t feel safe. Avoid this hotel and anything attached to it. I booked Friday 1st May for two nights, but when we arrived, we were told the booking had been cancelled. They put us in a room with blood on the toilet roll, a whiskey bottle in the bathroom and a needle in the toilet, so we left immediately. I was told I’d get a refund within 48 hours, but the manager lied and I’m still waiting. Booking.com hasn’t helped either. This hotel should be closed immediately.

The place smelled of cannabis, and residents were drunk and taking drugs. I couldn’t find any staff or get any service. The bathroom was wrecked, with mould everywhere, a black toilet, a door off its hinge, and a leaking sink and toilet. The shower was covered in hair and sand, and there were rotten food scraps around. Rubbish was piled on top of the wardrobe. The bedding and towels were dirty, the window was broken, and the TV screen had a red line through it. Broken sockets left live wires exposed. I’ve seen crack houses and squats in better condition. This place is vile, a disgrace and a waste of land. It’s outrageous that it’s still open, and I’ll report it to anyone I can. You’d have a better chance of sleeping on the street. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

The bed was the hardest thing I’ve ever tried to sleep on. The floor felt like it might give way as we walked to the room, and it was dirty, with marks and cobwebs everywhere. The cleaner did try, but there was still a dirty towel in the drawer. There was no parking despite it being advertised. With no staff around, we found a number at reception and were told to look elsewhere. The owner’s kids kicked a football at our window and laughed. Below our room, the owner was noisy and rude with friends in the yard. Definitely avoid, it’s not worth the money.

It felt horrible and uneasy. The police even said not to stay here. There didn’t seem to be any fire safety or proper staff. It looked like people behind the bar were letting kids take up tables to watch the football. The people writing good reviews must be staff or friends.
