Broad Croft House

I was most unhappy that the proprietors charged the other half of the balance from my account two days before my stay, even though they’d clearly said it was due on departure. The room was clean, but really small, and there was some early morning noise from hikers setting off for the Three Peaks.

Marco and Jill were so kind when our car broke down and we arrived late. They even tried to help us find a tow home. Marco showed us around and explained breakfast for the next morning, since we were hiking the Yorkshire Three Peaks. It was ready early enough for us to eat and set off, and the following day they cooked us a wonderful breakfast too. The bed was comfy and the shower was great after hiking, and there was homemade cake in the room when we arrived. Stunning B&B with gorgeous views, and a fabulous stay. We’d definitely book again if we’re nearby and recommend it to people we know. Thank you both for being so kind.

There was a good spread at breakfast, especially the sausages, and I liked the cereal selection and fresh fruit. We booked well in advance to visit the area and were glad we chose this place. We were welcomed and shown around, the room seemed clean, and the homemade cake was a lovely extra. It had all the facilities we needed. The location works well for Pen-Y-Ghent and the Three Peaks. We’d stay here again if we return to the Yorkshire Dales, and might try one of the pods next time.

I stayed for one night on 21/2/25. As a solo female traveler, I was a bit nervous about visiting the Yorkshire Dales for the first time, but I’m really glad I booked Broad Croft House. Marc welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home, even though I got to the station very late, at 9pm. Everything felt cosy and cute, from the room to the shared eating area. Thanks for going out of your way for me, Marc. I’m grateful and will definitely come back soon.
