The cottage was lovely and warm, with an enclosed garden where the children and dogs could play. Rachel was a wonderful host and showed us around her beautiful farm and the animals. I was there for work, so didn’t explore much, but we walked down the field to Wortley and had a drink at the Wortley Arms, which felt more upmarket, and at Wortley Men's Club, where everyone was friendly and welcoming. We also had a delicious meal at the local Traveller's Inn, whose owners were lovely.

A lovely rural cottage on a working farm, with beautiful scenery and plenty of good walks and places to visit. Depending on the season and farm activity, you may be able to join a farm tour or help with the sheep and goats. It made for a great break.

The children loved staying here, especially getting to feed the animals in the evening. The family who own the farm were very welcoming. It’s a great base for exploring, and we were all sad to leave.

Comfortable beds, lovely scenery, and a friendly, helpful host. The accommodation is dog friendly, and being on a working farm with sheep, pigs and horses made it even more interesting.

We had a fantastic weekend on the working farm. The people were so kind and friendly, and there’s lots to do in the area. I’d recommend it for a short break or a longer holiday.
