Suite on the High Street

We'd stayed here once before and everything had been perfect, but this visit had several issues. We're an elderly couple who use both bedrooms. The upstairs bedroom where my husband slept had no wardrobe, so he had to hang his clothes from the curtain rail. That's completely unsatisfactory. The listing calls that room's bed king-size, but it's actually two beds that can be pushed together. There was no king-size duvet, so my husband had to combine two single ones to cover the bed and didn't sleep comfortably all week. I also don't understand why there's a cleaning charge when guests are expected to strip the beds, empty the bins and stack the dishwasher. Surely those are cleaning tasks. With these problems, I'm sorry to say we're unlikely to stay at the Cottage again.
