The Old Vicarage

We came for a local wedding and Philip was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. He even drove us to and from the wedding so we wouldn’t have to get taxis. The room was lovely and spotless, with a really comfortable bed. Breakfast included cereal, toast and a full English, all made with locally sourced ingredients. A wonderful stay with lovely hosts, and somewhere we’d happily return to when we’re in Shrewsbury.

We slept fantastically in the comfy beds, thanks in part to the peaceful location. Breakfast was great, the hosts were very friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed and good value. I would have liked some toiletries for the shower and bath, but I’d stay again. Thank you.

The setting is beautiful, and the accommodation was very comfortable, making it easy to settle in after Philip greeted us warmly and told us to make ourselves at home. Breakfast was very good. Philip went well beyond what we expected and made our stay memorable. We highly recommend it and look forward to returning.

It was lovely and quiet here, just right for a relaxing break. Philip was a wonderful host and interesting to chat with. The property and garden are gorgeous. I had the bright, clean single room, which even had a reclining armchair. The bed was comfortable and breakfast fabulous.
