The owners are lovely, welcoming and accommodating. Rooms could use an upgrade, but the price is so low that it still feels like a win if you're not too fussy about the interior. They don't serve breakfast, though there are loads of places to eat within a five-minute walk.

I enjoyed my stay so much that I added another day. I was here with my two dogs, and Sue and Kev were warm, friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was warm and clean, with a lovely ensuite, and the whole place was very clean. I'll come back and would highly recommend the hotel.

Dogs are welcome, and they even lent us a wheelchair for our dog after he hurt his back paws falling in the boating lake. We had a great August Bank Holiday weekend at the Glendale Hotel. The lovely couple who run it made us feel welcome, the rooms were very clean and spacious, and the Full English breakfast was superb. I'd recommend it to anyone. Thanks for a great weekend.

We got home after two nights at Glendale and thoroughly enjoyed it. There was a lovely welcome, our room was comfortable and very clean, and the breakfast was to die for. It's excellent value for money, and we'll definitely return. Well done, Kev and Sue, you're doing a great job!

We were lucky to get the last room in time for a last-minute holiday. The lady was amazing, though I’m sorry I can’t remember her name. My son has autism and asks lots of questions; she was pleasant and indulged him, which was very kind. We had the family room, and it was beautiful. Highly recommend.
