We booked a last minute getaway and would happily return. The room was very spacious, and the staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast had a good range of hot and cold options, and I really enjoyed the full cooked one. The hotel is well placed for a short walk into Skipton town centre, either along the towpath or the main road, just a few minutes either way.

We spent a day browsing Skipton’s shops, cafes and market, then drove to Ilkey on Sunday, enjoying the stunning views on the way and the lively market there. Mum and I stayed two nights in February on the Winter warmer deal. After a day shopping, we enjoyed warm Pimm’s, and the food was carefully presented with lovely attention to detail. Service was spot on, and the Sunday roast was fabulous. Our spacious room had comfortable beds, lift access and a wet room, which was perfect for Mum. We’ll be back.

We’ve stayed here three times over the past year with our two dogs, and are looking forward to coming back next year. The staff are friendly and helpful, always keen to make sure you have a good stay. Breakfast has plenty of choice, and the dogs love their sausages. We’ve also eaten in the restaurant in the evenings and have never been disappointed. It’s a great location within walking distance of the town centre, and we especially enjoy the towpath. We’d highly recommend it if you’re visiting the Skipton area.

The food was fabulous, and the menus and decor looked beautiful and made for a lovely atmosphere. We had another wonderful Valentine’s weekend at Herriots, and are already looking forward to coming back. Thanks to the team.

The party started well, but after five hours staff took my daughter and husband aside and said the bar was closing because guests weren’t spending enough. They had their wedding here, and many guests spent a lot over both days and nights. There were also guests who couldn’t stay over, so of course they couldn’t drink alcohol if they were driving home. Taxis were an option, but not at today’s prices. After the £5000+ spent over this past year, Herrtiots should be ashamed of this disgusting treatment. None of us will spend another pound here, and you won’t get any more corporate or family parties from us.
