We feel really looked after here, and the welcome from Beth and Leanne is always lovely. The chefs are brilliant and even come out to check that customers are happy. The food is five star, especially the Sunday lunch, which is the best locally. Front of house and all the staff are professional, and we feel like family. This country pub is great. Highly recommend, and please don't change a thing! 😊👌🏻

We were there for a friend's wedding and had an amazing stay. The team was fantastic, so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Our recently renovated room was very comfortable, and the food was brilliant, with good vegetarian options. We'd definitely recommend it.

I've had good service at this local coffee shop before, but the food service has let us down on each of our last two visits. We waited 40 minutes for paprika eggs and got fried eggs on sourdough. The previous time we'd also waited ages, but got paprika eggs on focaccia as the menu said, and the food was good. I couldn't work out why we were served two different dishes. When I asked, the server said different chefs interpret the menu differently. I also asked why two tables that arrived after us got their food first, even though their orders should have taken longer. She said the orders were put through, but the chef might make them in a different order. I think the waitress could have prompted the chef or at least updated us, since she'd seen us waiting for some time. I've worked in the industry and always try to support local businesses, but I won't be rushing back. With the way the economy is, you want to feel your money bought good service and a worthwhile experience. This time it didn't.

No hot drinks, and a bit pricey, but the portions are generous. The roast dinners are warm and hearty, and this was probably the best meal I've had in the area.

We booked a Father's Day lunch for eight, but ended up as a group of ten. The staff sorted it out without a fuss and were friendly and accommodating. Everyone enjoyed the lovely meal, and we all agreed it was the best Sunday roast we'd had in a long time.
