The hotel itself is adequate, but the name Hilton London Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 gives the wrong idea about how close it is. It isn’t connected to Terminal 5, and you can’t walk there. From T5, you can pay about £7 each way for the Hotel Hoppa, which runs twice an hour, or take a taxi or Uber that can cost £30-£45 for a short trip. The bus might mean waiting 20-30 minutes, then riding another 10-12, so getting there can take 30-40 minutes. Oddly, it would be quicker and free to take Heathrow’s inter-terminal transport to Terminal 4 and walk to the Hilton attached there. It may suit people driving, but arriving at T5 is surprisingly inconvenient. I also tried to get breakfast in the restaurant before leaving, as I do at hotels elsewhere, but there was a “no luggage” sign. That’s silly and unreasonable in a hotel. I wasn’t going to leave my bags unattended or head back up to my room, so I left and ate in the airport lounge instead. The property is adequate, but the “Terminal 5” name suggests a proximity that doesn’t match reality. Good to know before booking.

Getting to the hotel was easy enough, and it was so quiet I could watch the planes take off until the 11pm curfew. The room was roomy, well appointed, and properly soundproof. My Uber or taxi to Terminal 2 cost about $40 USD, but the room made it worth it. The mobile key was simple to use and the staff were pleasant. I’d recommend it for a night before or after flying in or out of Heathrow.

Monishka deserves a mention for the way she looks after guests at Hilton Terminal 5. I’ve stayed there regularly over the past two months, and each time she’s been welcoming, professional, friendly, and attentive. Her smile and positive manner make arriving a pleasure. She’s always ready to help, and no request seems like too much. Her care makes guests feel comfortable and valued, and reflects Hilton hospitality at its best. Monishka is a real asset to the hotel and deserves recognition for her hard work and consistently excellent service. Thanks for making each stay pleasant and memorable.

The spa is included in the price and runs from 10AM-10PM. The hotel is close to the terminal, but far enough away that you don’t feel stuck at the airport. Wonderful Moh made us feel welcome at every breakfast and kept the service great throughout. Fantastic Simran gave my mother and me facials I can’t recommend enough. My skin is glowing and felt very well massaged. I’ll tell all my friends to stay here. Great value for the service, facilities, and airport access.

Breakfast had plenty of options, and the bar and restaurant both served great food. The rooms were very clean, spacious, and well equipped, with tea and coffee, a kettle, safe, iron, ironing board, and hairdryer. Shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and hand cream were in the bathroom too. And the hotel is completely soundproof, you can’t hear the planes at all.
