Holiday Inn Express Southampton - West by IHG

We were really impressed with the hotel during our Paulton park package stay. The children got a little activity pack when we arrived, which was a lovely touch, and the place felt very family friendly. Getting around was easy, Paulton Park was about a 10-minute drive and several other places to visit were within 10-20 minutes. After we realized on the way home that we’d left something in the room, the hotel was happy to box it up so we could arrange a courier to collect it. We’d definitely stay again if we’re back that way.

We stayed for a week and absolutely loved it. The room was clean, the beds were made beautifully, and they even offered duck feather pillows instead. I’ve got sensitive skin, so the Dove shower gel in the showers was a great touch. The staff were always smiling, friendly, polite, and happy to chat. When I lost my toothbrush, they gave me a spare and a little toothpaste. They also offer useful things for free, like women’s sanitary products and cotton wool pads. Breakfast and parking were free as well. The one thing I’d change is the breakfast quality. I didn’t eat it myself, though my husband thought it was okay. I’d happily choose this hotel again, thanks for a lovely stay.

Breakfast was a real plus. There was a good spread of hot and cold food, from eggs and sausages to pastries, fruit, and yogurt. It was fresh and kept stocked, and the bright dining room never felt too crowded. I could grab food quickly or sit and unwind when I had time. I was here for work and found the stay convenient and easy. Check-in was quick after a long day, and the staff were professional, friendly, and willing to help. My clean, modern room worked well for getting things done: a spacious, well-lit desk and fast, reliable Wi-Fi. The bed was very comfortable, and it was quiet enough for a good night’s sleep before early meetings. The power shower and plenty of tea and coffee supplies were welcome too.

The reception staff were really friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spotless and quiet. I slept well on a comfortable, clean bed, and the shower was great, which isn’t always the case. Breakfast was a little hit and miss. It was very busy when I visited, but I still found a table without waiting. I stayed for a work Christmas night out nearby.
