Seafarers Court is an easy walk from Ocean Terminal, so it worked well for our one night before a cruise. We booked early and paid £81, which felt like good value. There’s no reception. The day before arrival we got access codes for the front door and room, along with a helpful You Tube video. Online check-in was completed a couple of days earlier after another email. We were given the Britanic room, with two large, very comfortable double beds. The kitchenette had a fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster, but the two ring hob was no use without saucepans. There was nowhere to hang clothes, no bedside lights, and the central light fitting was awful and kitch. There were plenty of sockets with USB ports. A few other things: you have to use steps to reach the front door, so it isn’t wheelchair friendly. The bathroom door wouldn’t lock, the Push and Pull signs were on the wrong sides, and the small shower was slippery with its shower head holder missing, so the head just hung down. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within a two minute walk, but no breakfast options nearby apart from Starbucks, a 10 minute walk away. The TV itself was decent, but there was no aeriel, so viewing was limited to apps like iPlayer and ITVx that need a login. That was fine for us, though foreigners might struggle. WiFi worked very well for the TV and generally, and the login code came by email. For the price, we couldn’t complain, since none of these things really affected us. We’d probably stay again.
