A DJ was set up at the back for the D&B and dance after-party, and there was plenty of musical talent to watch. Nice venue.

The meal and service were both great, and the atmosphere made it a really good birthday outing for my mom. I moved here from America and had been looking for a good seafood boil, which is hard to find outside London in England, so I was glad to discover this place. Two guys looked after us, one called harry and the other, I think, Scott. They were friendly and attentive. I'd definitely recommend it.

We had two completely different experiences here. The Bar and Grill deserves a 5: dinner when we arrived and breakfast the next morning were both delicious, and the beer was ice cold. For the hotel, I'd give a 1, so our combined rating is 3. The room was in a huge old house converted into separate sleeping rooms. Ours had its own bathroom, though most guests had to share one in the hall. It was filthy, noisy, and uncomfortable, easily the worst place we've stayed. The suite looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months: dirt and hair on the floors and in the shower, mold in the shower, and a dirty toilet with a broken seat. The mattress was thin and lumpy, with springs coming through, like something from the 1950s. We knew we were stuck because every room in town was booked for an event. The price was affordable, but the stay wasn't worth it. Other people had posted the same complaints a few years ago. We hoped the new owner had fixed things, but they hadn't. This place needs major work.

The pub looks nice and the staff are extremely friendly, but the taps have apparently been broken for over two months, so drinks are only available in bottles. My Aperol Spritz was awful and tasted like lemonade. We also couldn't watch the Champions League because the TV seemed to be broken. There's a lot of potential here, but they need to get things sorted soon.

They've put a lot of heart into this place since the fella took over the business two years ago. The garden is lovely, there's a play area outside for families, and the atmosphere is great. Good food, a decent pool table, and a very nice drinks selection too. I'd go for the burgers if you're eating there. 🍔😋
