Premier Inn Southend Airport

There’s a Tesco just a couple of minutes away, and parking was plentiful. The staff were lovely and the room was nice. It felt a bit warm on our first night in February, but I couldn’t be bothered going to reception to ask about the air con. When I asked the next day, they switched it on remotely and the temperature was perfect. I’ve stayed at quite a few Premier Inns over the years, and this was the best.

This was my second stay in two weeks, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone after a 5 star room at an affordable price. The Premier Inn rooms are really nice and well looked after, and reception staff were helpful and very focused on customers. There’s a Beefeater Pub right next door for meals and breakfast. Well done to the whole team, and thank you.

The local parkrun was what brought us here, and the stay suited us well. It was pleasant apart from a few things: there weren’t any towels in the room for some reason, we were told we had to keep the door closed to stop the fire alarm going off, and the restaurant had run out of eggs at breakfast. Mmmm.

We had a comfortable bed and no issues with the stay. The rooms are nice, the location is convenient for several places, and even though it’s near the airport you can barely hear the planes. The staff were very friendly when we arrived. The pub next door books up fast, which I know isn’t something the hotel controls. If you’re travelling for business and have a meal allowance for that venue, you might hope they’d reserve some tables for hotel guests. Luckily, we could eat in the bar area this time.
