Marine House

We paid over £2,000 for four days with a large group, and I can’t recommend this place. The one clear plus is parking for two cars, and it’s near the shopping centre. Beyond that, it felt very poor value and not child friendly. The beds are either singles or queens, which makes things awkward for families with babies or toddlers. The garden is tiny, there’s no light by the hot tub, and there’s no BBQ grill or safe area to use one. The view is bad too, with dead birds, broken cars or general dirt visible around the windows. The house is noisy throughout. Floors creak and doors bang, and you can hear people on the stairs very clearly. If someone shuts a bedroom door on the fourth floor, it can be heard on the second. The bathroom is extremely basic, the electric shower swings between too hot and too cold, and there’s no hand soap or toilet paper provided. The seats don’t close softly either. You can also hear the extractor fan from the floor above, and I think they should spend money on better materials and fans. I can only think of those two positives. Out of five stars, I’d give it two at most.
