Wendy and Bill Core have made the barn conversion units comfortable and attractive. They come in different sizes, with an open-plan lounge and kitchen, a washing machine, main cooker and microwave. The bathroom was clean with a powerful shower, and the heating was great. Free WiFi made the stay comfortable too. The price is mid-range and well deserved. Great!

The ducks, chickens and turkeys were quite the welcoming committee. The turkeys looked a little intimidating, but were only curious about their new guests. Everything we needed was there, and the place was warm and comfortable. We had a very comfortable long weekend and would definitely book again.

We had a two-bedroom Holiday Apartment, with one double bed and two singles. The kitchen had all the utensils for cooking or using the microwave, and there was a TV and WiFi too. It's a lovely barn conversion and great value. Have a look at the website, and Wendy and her husband are so helpful. They also have a lovely book of local places and things to do. Definitely a must if you're in the area.

Wendy and her husband were so welcoming. We arrived late after a delayed flight, but they accommodated us without any problem. The apartment was spacious, spotless and well equipped. We stayed in "The Stable" on the farm, in lovely clean, modern accommodation converted from the old farm shed. The chickens and turkeys were a hit with the kids, and the peaceful rural setting made for a charming family break. Our electricity came from a meter and cost about a pound a day, so bring pound coins. Sandy Brook Farm is just outside Scarsbrick, with friendly pubs and restaurants a five to ten minute walk away. We tried the Beefeater Morris Dancers, which was charming for food and drinks. Southport, Liverpool, Chester and Blackpool are all within easy driving range. The accommodation was fairly priced, and getting to local places of interest was easy. We had such a good time and wish we could've stayed longer. Hopefully it’s still open when we can come back. Families or couples after a relaxing break should give it a try. See you soon, Sandy Brook Farm ♥️

The owners were really friendly, and the children loved playing out in the fields. We all slept well in the comfy beds, and it was such a peaceful place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
