The Pier

Rahul let us add an extra night at short notice after the 'boutique hotel' we’d booked for a luxury stay before Victorious weekend let us down. The simple room was just what we needed, and we could easily walk to and from the festival. Lovely Mum made us a veggie fried breakfast every day, and the service felt personal. We also borrowed a street parking permit. Recommended.

The breakfast room was beautiful, and the meal Parvin, the owners mum, made was honestly the best I’ve tasted. We had homemade joghurt with lemon essence, a wonderful cooked breakfast, fresh toast and plenty of coffee. Rahul gave us a warm welcome, handed over a parking permit for right outside the house, explained the access code and asked about breakfast. Rahul, keep doing what you're doing. I can’t recommend this place enough.

We came to Southsea for a couple of nights to visit our god-daughter, and the place was a short walk from the seafront. Rahul and his mother made us feel at home and were so helpful. The room was just right, and the full English breakfasts were excellent, especially the homemade yoghurt with lemon essence. They also let our god-daughter join us for breakfast for a very reasonable extra fee. We got a parking permit for the road outside when we arrived, and they let us keep it after checkout so we could sightsee that morning before returning it. Very useful. We’d happily stay again when we’re in the area and recommend it to friends.

It’s a privately run hotel, so the service feels more personal than at a bigger place, and they really want you to enjoy your stay. The location is handy for Southsea Pier and the local pubs.
