The location is just right: far enough from St Andrews to avoid the crowds, but close enough to walk to class. I had a few spots of water damage in my room, my only complaint. The rooms have a modern, stylish Scandinavian feel, and the front desk provides exemplary help if you need it, though you hopefully won’t. Seagulls call in the morning, and from the compound you can watch the sun or moon rise over the water, shining on the tides. The official St Andrews housing system was going to strand me in Dundee, so I’m hugely grateful this place was available.
