Ivy House Cornwall B&B

Walkers will find this a handy base, with access to other parts of the coast too. The guest house sits behind its own private road and gardens, and has been tastefully restored and cared for. James, the owner and host, is attentive and helpful, and there's a great choice of breakfasts.

James gives you a really warm welcome and makes the place feel like a home away from home. It's up on a beautiful hillside, with the station close by but the trains don't disturb you. Eden Project and St Austell Brewery are both convenient to reach. A fabulous B&B.

The Ivy House has a superb atmosphere, and it's only a few minutes from the station and town centre. I stayed three nights with friends at the beginning of October 2020, and we had a memorable long weekend. James looked after us so well, and made a delicious breakfast every morning. He's a real gentleman and a fantastic host. I'd certainly recommend staying here.

The garden was a lovely place to spend time in. We ate there in the evening, read, wrote a few cards, and used the laptop since the WiFi reaches outside. The lily ponds and seating made it especially pleasant. I stayed two nights at Ivy House while travelling to Marazion for the rest of my holiday. James was a great host, and the place was spotless with lots of attention to detail. My en-suite double had lovely garden views and all the facilities I needed, including a lovely shower. Breakfast was spot on, with an English breakfast cooked on his Aga, fresh coffee and orange juice. Just perfect, thanks James. I'd highly recommend it and stay again.
