Carole made us feel welcome, and the room was clean and warm. Breakfast was really good, too. The local pub, where we ate that evening, was just a stone's throw away, and it was a short walk to the start of the coast to coast walk. We stayed here the night before setting off and would definitely recommend it.

Breakfast was amazing, with a full English, toast, homemade jams and fruit. My single room was cosy, very clean and had a comfortable bed and en-suite. It was up two flights of stairs, right by the station and close to the two pubs and the post office/shop. The sea was only a five-minute walk away. Loved it!

For our first night on the C2C, we stayed in the dairy. The room was lovely, and Carole was a consummate host during our short visit. Breakfast was fantastic, and we also had a great packed lunch.

I spent two nights at Stone House Farm B&B before setting off on the Coast to Coast Path, and I'd happily stay again. The place is very quiet and only a few minutes from the beach. My room was excellent, and so were breakfast and the packed lunch I took for the start of my walk. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and explained what I needed to know about the stay and the area. The host also suggested a lovely walking loop for the extra day I spent in St. Bees, and I really enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

The Coast to Coast walk starts in a great location here. Carol gave us a warm welcome and was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to go the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. I could easily have stayed a week.
