The evening was a nice mix of things: we had a short walk down to the gorgeous beach, then came back to the bar for pool and a chat with the lovely locals. Dinner was delicious, with generous starters and mains, and breakfast had plenty of choice and equally good portions. My daughter and I stayed for a night to unwind, and the room was clean, comfortable, and had all the expected amenities. Check-in through Wowcher was easy and informative, and the staff were welcoming and kept checking that everything was okay. Such a relaxing, friendly place. We look forward to coming back.

We were really glad this hotel, the Manor inn, was directly opposite when our original hotel let us down. We'd arrived for a wedding party only to find its pub bar and restaurant closed, with nobody having told us. The Manor inn had a room available, and we were very happy with it. Lovely place, and the staff were excellent.

The Sunday lunch is the reason I'd come back: roast beef with all the trimmings, followed by homemade spiced apple crumble and custard. It was amazing. This is a great little village pub, and the staff were attentive and professional. Highly recommend it, well worth a visit.

I arrived alone and was told the food would take a while, so I was asked to wait in the bar. After 50 minutes, two groups who hadn't booked were seated ahead of me. The barmaid was rude and surly. Terrible experience.

A cheap and cheerful place, just how I like it. I had good food for dinner and breakfast, and it was a great starting point for my coast to coast adventure before the 192-mile walk.
