The garden view from our room was fabulous, and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. We came for an overnight birthday break and ended up having a lovely time from start to finish. Lunch and dessert were delicious, and the service was friendly and quick. The lunchtime supervisor recognised us from earlier visits and made us feel welcome, though I didn't catch her name. After lunch we sat in the comfy chairs for a few drinks and got an unexpected bit of live music. The bar staff were great too. Jasmine at reception was as helpful as ever, changing our booking time without any fuss. Breakfast had loads to choose from and was cooked to order. Justine was buzzing around making sure everyone had what they needed, and answered our questions about the Afternoon Tea we have booked later this month. Another wonderful little getaway.

Tony, Matty and Elise made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our wedding. They were so attentive, professional and personal, and helped with every query. The whole team looked after us and our guests from beginning to end, and the day ran without a hitch. We loved the range of rooms, and the rooms themselves were incredible. The food was exquisite, with lots of choices for guests and different dietary needs. The tasting menu was a great way for us to see the quality and variety beforehand. The setting is what first won us over: the grounds, views and buildings at Beamish Hall are breathtaking. We knew as soon as we walked around that we'd found our venue. It was a very special day. Our whole stay was delightful, right from arrival through to leaving. The rooms were spacious, large and very clean, and the reception team gave us a lovely welcome with plenty of information. The hotel has real period character and sits in beautiful woodland.

The setting and buildings are beautiful. I’d half expected a four-poster bed, an open fire and original features, so the modernised classic room wasn't quite what I pictured. Still, it was clean, warm and comfortable, with nothing to complain about.

A perfect festive catch-up, part night in and part night out, and a real bargain for what we got. Our girls' overnight was fab: the cosy apartment had a huge front room with a Christmas tree. We had sharing boards and cocktails at 2, then dinner in the bar at 7. There were even nibbles and fizz waiting in the apartment. Highly recommended, so Christmassy!
