Live and Let Live Inn

After a rainy walk, we came here for dinner while staying nearby. The guestbook reviews all said the Live and Let Live was a must, and now I can see why. We got a seat by the fire and found the atmosphere warm, friendly, and welcoming. The food was exquisite. I loved how the relaxed setting went with such delicious, fancy, flamboyant food. The whole meal felt like a real treat.

We’ve been three times, and every visit has exceeded expectations. The food is consistently spot-on, with generous servings of beautifully cooked, traditional pub classics that clearly get a lot of care. It has all the charm of a Devon pub, with a relaxed, welcoming feel and a place that seems authentic and well looked after. The staff are friendly and attentive without hovering. It’s become one of our favourite places to eat, and we’ll keep coming back. Highly recommend it for traditional food in a lovely pub.

I don’t write reviews, even after eating at some excellent places, but the Live and Let Live got me to make an exception. This was the best dining experience I’ve ever had. All three courses were amazing, and the service was attentive and genuine. A shout-out to Finn and his female colleague, whose name I’m sorry I didn’t catch. Even the chef came out to see how I was doing. It’s my new favourite place, though sadly more than 200 miles from home. Go and visit, you won’t be disappointed.

We stopped for lunch with a friend and had delicious food at a reasonable price. There was a good set menu, a warm welcome, and cheerful, attentive service. Highly recommended. Thank you!
