It's within easy walking distance of the castle, and breakfast was fine. The room was pretty to look at, but I want people to know what they're getting: according to the business, it's a five-star restaurant with rooms, not a five-star hotel. That's an important distinction, and someone should correct the Google listing. I'd call the rooms three-star at best. The furniture was dusty, there was black mould in the shower, and there were no temperature controls in the rooms.

A nice breakfast, friendly owner, and quiet rooms made for a good stay at this busy little hotel on the outskirts of Stirling. It's about a 10-minute walk to the shops and 20 minutes to the castle and other attractions.

Parking is limited, but we didn't have trouble finding a spot. The B&B is in a fabulous location, within walking distance of Stirling Castle and the town. It's a great little place with smaller rooms and very good dining.

The location is good, but from my experience of more than 10 years working in hotels and hospitality, this is a two- or three-star hotel. I wouldn't recommend it if you're expecting five-star quality. The service isn't enough for that, and the rooms weren't very good. It was really hot and there was no air conditioning. The cold tap at the sink in my room didn't work, and none of the plugs worked. You have to choose breakfast the day before, and it isn't a five-star hotel breakfast. The receptionist wasn't kind about offering alternatives for dinner when they were fully booked. She suggested we call other restaurants ourselves instead of making a reservation for us.

It's easy to walk around Stirling from this great location, with pubs and sights nearby. There are no lifts, which could be difficult for older guests or anyone with lots of luggage.
