We’d definitely stay again. The Travelodge was really clean and tidy for our long weekend, and the breakfast was small in selection but had perfect choices and was clean and tidy. We prebooked it for all three mornings. Simone served us on two days and was incredibly nice, pleasant, chatty, and helpful. It really makes a difference in the morning. The receptionist who checked us in, I believe her name was Sarah, was kind, helpful, and attentive. She gave us a pleasant welcome and made a small personal touch by putting us in a slightly quieter room, knowing we had young children. We had simple but tasty pizzas for dinner one night. The only thing keeping this from five stars was that one staff member was covering check-in and the restaurant, which made waits and getting help a little harder, especially in the evening. They warned us about it, and were still pleasant and helpful.
The food was great, and there’s a click and collect pizza option if you’d rather take it to your room. Breakfast is worth including, with unlimited tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, plus pastries, cereal, fruit, eggs and more. The hotel is well located beside the viaduct, a short walk from shops and the station. Rooms were clean and nice, and the staff were warm, friendly, and helpful, especially Simone.
A great, cheap place right next to the train station. I had to book a night at the last minute after missing the train, and Sarha was amazing and helped me so much. Would recommend.
The room was large, clean, and very quiet. I ate at the bar, but after being warned of delays due to staff shortages, the sausage and mash arrived with what seemed like powdered or packaged mash and snack size sausages. At £14, it felt ridiculous and a waste of money. There was no parking unless you had a disability badge. A security guard greeted us at the door, and then numerous shady characters were walking around the hotel. One staff member was covering reception, the bar, and trips to and from the kitchen, which meant long delays.
Friendly, helpful staff, and the hotel is in a great location. The rooms are nice and clean. You have to park at Redrock, where it’s £1.20 per hour, free from 6 pm to 6 am, and paid through the app. The bar isn’t badly priced, with Stella at £5.19.
