After a long travel day, we arrived to find food and flowers waiting for us, which made this holiday home feel like a real home. It was comfortable and clean, with parking and laundry facilities included. We didn't have a car, but getting around Stornoway and Isle of Lewis on foot or by public transport was no problem.
There’s a small garden behind the house with a table, bench and washing line, plus parking at the rear. The rooms are a good size and nicely decorated, with enough space for four. The house is easy to find after leaving the ferry and is about a five-minute drive from Stornoway centre and the supermarkets. Inside, there are two double bedrooms, a kitchen and dining area, a living room, and a shower room. The kitchen has a hob, oven, microwave, toaster, washing machine, fridge and small freezer. There’s also a TV, DVD player and CD player in the living area. The shower lacks much power, and the wi-fi has cut out a couple of times, but otherwise it was all good.
We had a beautiful week exploring the island and found the accommodation very comfortable. Thanks so much.
Everything we needed was there, and the hosts were friendly. A lovely place to stay.
I haven't stayed here, but it looks OK for a holiday and isn't too far from town.
