The hotel is right in the centre, so all the main attractions are an easy walk away. Breakfast was delicious, made with high-quality ingredients, and the breakfast staff were lovely. As a solo traveller, I felt comfortable and safe from the moment I arrived. The front desk staff looked after me so well. I think his name was Craig, and he was a wonderful human being. I'll definitely return if I'm in the area again.
It's a short walk to the centre and Stratford's attractions, but the hotel was still very quiet despite being so central. The car park was handy at £15 for 24 hours. Our cosy room was comfortable, with organic tea and coffee, fresh milk and a nice range of toiletries. The staff were friendly and helpful. We wanted to get out and explore, so we didn't try the restaurant or bar, though the bar looked inviting. The hotel is a beautiful mix of modern and Tudor buildings, and we'll definitely stay again next time we're in Stratford.
Helen at reception made the trip feel personal and magical. She was warm, kind and attentive, and my daughter genuinely wanted to take her home with us. From the moment we arrived, everyone made the stay feel special. The hotel is stunning, with character, charm and thoughtful design that suits Stratford’s history. Our beautifully decorated room was incredibly comfortable, more like a boutique retreat than a standard hotel. The food was delicious, and breakfast was a genuine 10/10, one of the best we've had anywhere. Every detail, including the service and atmosphere, felt carefully considered. We can't wait to return.
I've stayed at Hotel Indigo ten times, and now the inconsistency is getting frustrating. For the same room level and price, you might get air-conditioning or only a noisy fan; sometimes there are snacks and drinks, other times only some of them. Some rooms are roomy, while others are so cramped you have to climb over a table to reach the bed. Even the number of chairs varies between one and two. We booked eight months ahead and still seem to have got the box room, thanks. The staff don't yet seem to understand the new parking system, which makes repeat guests feel unwelcome. I've got two more reservations later this year, but I'm considering cancelling and going back to the Hotel Arden. I don't want to pay £190 for a hot, cramped room and bruised shins.
The gardens are a perfect spot for a drink before a meal, and the staff were excellent despite the heat. For the heatwave, the hotel had clearly prepared, even fitting our room with a temporary air-conditioning unit. This was our third visit to Hotel Indigo. We always request a room in the old section, and this time we overlooked the Guild Chapel. It didn't disappoint.
