Salamander Guest House

We were in Stratford for a funeral and just needed a place for two adults and two kids. We usually stay at Crowne Plaza, Hotel du Vin or Hilton, but decided to try somewhere different and cheaper this time. Salamander turned out to be such a pleasant surprise, largely thanks to Alex, the owner. She was very sweet and kind, made sure we had what we needed, and offered tips about restaurants and nearby attractions. We know Stratford already, but that information would be handy for a first-time visitor. The location is across from the park, quiet at night and only a short walk from the town centre. Our rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable, and they even cleaned them the next day. Parking was included right beside the room, so we had no fees or safety worries. The price was very reasonable. There’s no breakfast or swimming pool, but there are plenty of nearby options and we didn’t miss either. Thanks for a lovely stay, Alex. We’d definitely come back.
