The breakfast was excellent, and having plenty of free parking was a real bonus, especially with a large vehicle or trailer. We stayed for two nights this week. The accommodation is basic but satisfactory, and the owner works hard to make sure the essentials are there. He was pleasant, polite and attentive, and made us feel welcome.

The owners were really friendly and helpful, which made a big difference. We spent two nights here and found the rooms a good size, well furnished and reasonably priced. It has what you'd expect from a basic hotel. The bar is being renovated, so I'm sure it'll be very nice once that's done.

Stu took great care of us and went out of his way to help with anything we asked. There were eight of us, and we were all happy with the clean rooms, which suited our needs for the price. Nothing but compliments from our group.

The breakfast was top notch, and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful during our one-night stay. We just wished the bedroom had warmed up faster when we arrived, and that the dining room had been warmer in the morning.

The pub grub at Affcot lodge was fantastic, with tasty homemade food, huge portions and cracking value. It's worth going out of your way for lunch or dinner, especially if you're visiting Carding Mill Valley, Long Mynd Church Stretton area. We stayed overnight too, and the digs were good enough, but the food alone makes this a hidden gem. The staff were really friendly as well. Highly recommended, it was the best pub grub my partner and I have ever had :-)
