I haven’t stayed here, but I brought my family for a meal today. We went for Sunday roast, with the special being roast lamb and a big Yorkshire pudding with all the trimmings. Pear and mint went really well with the lamb. For starters we shared haggis bombs and chicken wings, both good. The owner gave us a warm welcome, the staff were friendly and the service felt just right. It’s recently been refurbished and the owner’s done a great job making it feel homely. They also offer takeout, so you can get fish and chips for a sunny day on the beach, though watch out for seagulls!!!

The Sunday roast hit the spot after a long day, and the place was very welcoming and dog friendly. They only serve food on certain days and at certain times, so it’s best to call well in advance to book or arrange a meal. Highly recommended.

My wife is gluten intolerant and vegetarian, but that wasn’t a problem for the chef at all. I had the best beer battered haddock I’ve ever tasted. We didn’t stay, just came for what was the best meal ever, and the staff were polite, friendly and made us feel welcome.

A great addition to my trip to Portmahomack. It’s been renovated recently and has a clean, vibrant interior. The staff had great energy and were very welcoming, and the food was great too. Such an amazing setting in Scotland.
