There was a bit of road noise in the front room since the property faces a main road, but it was still a really good stay in a great location. The accommodation is newly renovated, with a spacious room, comfortable bed, and great shower. Breakfast was a good continental spread. The bike shed was also handy for charging our ebikes and keeping them safe overnight.

The only drawback was that there’s no private parking, just street parking. Otherwise, I had a wonderful stay. The host was very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere felt homely and welcoming. I slept well in the super-comfortable bed, and the continental breakfast had a great range. Internet ran at 80mb and was reliable for work and streaming. I’d definitely come back.

Check-in was seamless, and the room I walked into was modern, spacious, spotless, and high quality. The towels and bedding were the softest I’ve come across, and the rooms even have window blinds, which are so rare in Britain. A very pleasant stay and remarkable value.

We chose to stay in Tain while doing the NC500 and visiting the Glenmorangie distillery. No. 10 had only opened in late 2024, which explained the few reviews and initially made me wary. But as a Hilton loyalist, I can say some Hiltons could learn from them. The place is newly renovated and clean, and the staff are super friendly. Excellent hospitality and service, zero regrets about staying here. Platform 1864 is also an excellent spot for a meal in town.
