Breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty of choice cooked to order. I went for pancakes with thick bacon and maple syrup, though there were options for a big appetite or just a small bite. The room had a comfortable king-size bed, two chairs, a TV, a fridge with chilled water, a hairdryer and a cupboard. The duvet looked thin but kept me more than warm enough. The shower room was clean, the water got hot straight away, and there were lovely toiletries and plenty of ledges for toothbrushes. A lovely pub stay, highly recommended.

We got in touch about a late booking on Saturday and luckily found a room before heading to BTCC on Sunday. The price was great, and both dinner and breakfast were absolutely beautiful, cooked by the landlady. Kenny, the landlord, made us feel at home and had a lovely chat with us. The owners were really friendly, and breakfast was fab. We stayed for two nights in a lovely, quiet spot that worked well for visiting Chester and Cheshire Oaks. There’s a bus to Chester right outside the George and Dragon. We’d happily come back.

The staff were warm and welcoming, and we'd happily stay here again. We had room 1, a very small double with an en-suite and a decent shower. I took a star off because, despite being advertised, there was no hairdryer. I only found out after my shower and didn't want to get dressed and go downstairs while wet. I'm sure the staff would have found one if I'd noticed sooner. The traditional pub has lots of casual bar dining space as well as a more formal table-service area. We shared a pizza that wasn't anything special but was tasty and fairly priced. Breakfast was good too, especially the tasty, good-quality sausage.

Parked here for just 10 minutes and got a £100 ticket from a private company. Absolutely horrible place.
