Grove of Narberth

We only live nearby, so we came for Sunday lunch and can't speak to the accommodation. The hotel has a lovely, relaxed, homely feel, with Welsh touches in the decor. Food and service were wonderful. We prefer less fuss, though some people might like more attention. The interior design team deserves credit for how welcoming it feels.

That breakfast was the best I've ever had, and the whole stay felt magical. Every staff member went out of their way for us. The setting was perfect, with a cozy fireplace, a super-luxury room, and food that was just right. I couldn't fault the hotel or service. We'll be back for special occasions.

Our first stay at Grove of Narberth was in August 2022, and when we returned in December 2025, somehow it felt even more special. I'm already counting down to going back. It costs every penny, both for what you get and for how it leaves you feeling. The people are what make this place. They're caring and attentive without hovering, know their stuff without overwhelming you, and somehow remember why you're there. They used our names and made things so personal that I kept feeling like the only guest in the building. That level of care is rare. The Fernery and its team deserve a special mention. The cooking, presentation, and warm but professional service made dinner feel like an occasion, and every course showed how much pride they take in their work. The food across the hotel is outstanding, with great quality, creativity, and choice. The building's history comes through in every corner, but nothing feels dated. Thoughtful interiors bring out its character, with lovely furnishings, textures, and colours, and the rooms flow naturally into one another. It manages to feel luxurious and relaxed at once, indulgent but grounding. The atmosphere is special from the moment you arrive, and it was hard to leave. There's a part of me that wants to keep Grove of Narberth to myself, like a little hidden piece of heaven, but it deserves all the recognition and visits it gets. If you're thinking of booking, go for it.

The chefs were incredible about my many food allergies. At every meal they printed a menu showing what I could eat, and at breakfast they even baked special gluten-free bread for me. The hotel has beautiful spaces wherever you look, plus a lovely garden for a stroll. Amazing all around.
