Rod was charming and gave us expert tips for visiting local places, including where to eat and park. We loved the hearty breakfast in the lovely, spacious dining room, and enjoyed our seven-night stay at Little Dane Court. Our twin room was a little tight for us and didn't have a desk, but it was lovely to stay in such a historic home.

We slept better here than at either of our pricier London or York hotels. Rod was a wonderful host, and our room was clean and pleasant, with a supremely comfortable bed. We were in Kent for winery tours and tastings, and Tenterden made a fantastic base. If you're thinking of staying in the South Downs, I'd highly recommend Little Dane Court. ❤️

The owner gave fantastic service and couldn't do enough for us. The hotel is friendly, clean and has comfortable beds and all the facilities you need. There's more to this old building than first meets the eye, with fascinating little nooks and crannies. Our large bathroom had both a shower and a bath, and there was a dressing room too. Even on the main road, it was surprisingly quiet at night and in the morning. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Rod was friendly and so helpful with local ideas when we stayed at Little Dane while visiting the wine regions. He suggested some quieter alternatives to the places we had in mind, which we appreciated. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent. The guesthouse is handy for Tenterden, with its lovely, interesting shops, and for places to eat and have drinks. Chapel Down is only a couple of miles away, Gusbourne about 6 miles, and Rye around 20 minutes away.

Tenterden High Street, with its bars and restaurants, is an easy walk from Little Dane Court. We had a wonderful overnight stay while visiting a local vineyard. Rod was very welcoming, the facilities were excellent, and breakfast was plentiful. The property has lots of character, beautiful gardens and easy off-road parking. Thoroughly recommend it, and we'll definitely visit again. Thanks from Nina and David.
